Elizabeth Brady, LPC is a Licensed Professional Counselor with years of experience treating adults, adolescents, children and couples. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Saint Michael's College in Vermont and her Master's Degree in Clinical Practices in Psychology from University of Hartford in Connecticut. She specializes in working with individuals dealing with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, grief and loss issues, trauma/PTSD, co-occurring disorders, anger management and difficult life transitions. Beth is knowledgable in cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy and mindfulness techniques for relaxation as well as other psychoeducational treatment approaches and has many certificates of training in these areas.
Beth has provided therapeutic services since 2005 including operating her own private practice for over 10 years and working in several community mental health settings before that. She has been part of the team at Capital Region Mental Health Center in Hartford, Community Mental Health Affiliates in New Britain, and Community Renewal Team in Hartford. She is well versed in working with patients in various levels of care and has worked as a psychotherapist in a Partial Hospitalization Program, Intensive Outpatient Program, Outpatient Program, Community Based Program, Outreach, Family Based In-Home Recovery and Private Practice. She has worked in leadership roles in these agencies and is experienced in supervising staff and providing clinical guidance to therapists in training. She earned her Certificate in Supervisory Excellence in the Professionals Program at University of Hartford and is able to provide clinical supervision to staff and interns.
